Areas affected...northern Alabama...southeastern
Tennessee...southwestern North Carolina...northern Georgia...and
northwestern South Carolina

Concerning...Tornado Watch 214...

Valid 090350Z - 090515Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 214 continues.

SUMMARY...Risk for severe storms -- including tornadoes -- continues
across parts of the Tennessee Valley and southern Appalachians.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop continues to indicate widespread
strong/severe storms -- including at least a handful of supercells
moving eastward across the northern Alabama/northern Georgia
vicinity, and into far western portions of the Carolinas. Several
well-organized supercells are ongoing, each accompanied by potential
for tornadoes. Hail in excess of severe levels is also indicated,
with locally strong/damaging gusts also expected. A less-unstable
airmass exists with eastward extent into North Carolina, though some
severe risk may persist for at least a few more hours farther south
from northeastern Alabama to northwestern South Carolina.
