Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
557 AM PDT Thu Apr 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A shift in the weather pattern will result in higher humidity
with periods of light rain. The first band of rain will spread
into Central WA Thursday afternoon then eastward into North Idaho
Thursday night. There is a greater than 50% chance of a wetting
rain (0.10") across the northern districts through Friday
morning. Precipitation will become less organized and showery
each afternoon from Friday through Monday with the highest
chances coinciding with peak heating. There is a small chance of
thunderstorms (10%) each afternoon. A weak front will bring
increased winds for Sunday with gusts 20-30 mph. Temperatures
will not stray far from late April averages (50-60s).

Forecasts for 20 foot wind speeds (valleys and ridge tops) are
