.DISCUSSION...
This afternoon and evening brings one more round of potential severe
weather, as a low pressure system and cold front cross. Showers and
thunderstorms forming ahead of this system this afternoon can become
strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts and hail possible into
this evening. Heavier thunderstorms can also produce localized flash
flooding, especially in areas that have already received heavy
rainfall this week.
Cooler weather will follow the system, but upper level disturbances
crossing each afternoon Friday and Saturday, will bring showers and
perhaps thunderstorms. Severe weather or flooding is not expected,
though.
High pressure will bring dry weather to finish out the weekend on
Mother`s Day. The dry weather will last into Monday, before the next
low pressure system brings active weather, with a warming trend,
heading into the middle of next week.
