...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...

  Sabine River Near Gladewater affecting Gregg, Smith, Upshur and
  Wood Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Sabine River near Gladewater.

* WHEN...Until late tonight.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Expect minor lowland flooding with camps
  and picnic areas near the river suffering some flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.0 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Thursday was 26.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 21.2 feet Tuesday
    morning. However, the potential for additional rainfall this
    weekend could cause at least additional minor river rises
    next week.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    26.2 feet on 07/01/1981.
