...The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

  Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Cherokee, Nacogdoches and
  Angelina Counties.

  Angelina River Near Alto affecting Cherokee, Nacogdoches and
  Angelina Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 168.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for at least
  a couple of weeks with the gravel access roadway nearly inundated
  along its entire length.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 159.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning and continue rising to 166.8 feet early
    Sunday afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
  - Flood stage is 161.0 feet.
  - Flood History...No available flood history.

NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Alto.

* WHEN...From Friday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 30.5 feet, Lowland flooding will continue to slowly
  diminish.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday morning and continue rising to a crest of 30.2 feet
    early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    30.1 feet on 05/06/1959.
