Dry and warmer weather returns this week.

.Discussion...
Cloudy skies cover most of the region early this morning as NorCal
remains on the backside of the departing low moving east toward
the Four Corners. Current temperatures are milder compared to 24
hours ago, mainly in the mid 20s to mid 30s in the mountains, and
in the mid 40s to lower 50s across the Central Valley.

Ridging from the eastern Pacific is expected to move overhead
through the remainder of the week keeping troughiness to the north
at bay. Clouds will be slow to depart today, but less cloudiness
is expected the rest of the week. Temperatures will be milder
today reaching the lower 70s across portions of the Central
Valley, and into the lower 80s by midweek. Breezy northerly winds
of 15-25 mph will also be possible at times in the Sacramento
Valley by mid-week.

.EXTENDED DISCUSSION (Friday THROUGH Monday)...
Upper level ridging progged to be main synoptic feature through
the extended forecast period. As a result dry weather will result
with above normal high temperatures. High temperatures expected in
the mid 70s to around 80 in the Central Valley with mainly 60s to
low 70s for the mountains and foothills.
