Precipitation were Observed in the Month of January at La Crosse
WI...

The average temperature during the month was 18.8 degrees, which was
1.4 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was 28.0
degrees and the average low temperature was 9.7 degrees. The highest
temperature was 49 degrees, which occurred on the 26th. The lowest
reading was 14 degrees below zero, which occurred on the 5th.

A total of 1.38 inches of precipitation fell during the month, which
was twenty six hundredths of an inch above normal. The greatest 24-
hour precipitation was eighty eight hundredths of an inch, which
fell on the 22nd into the 23rd.

There was 10.8 inches of snow during the month, which was one tenth
of an inch above normal. The greatest 24 hour snowfall was 5.2
inches, which fell on the 14th into the 15th.
