Coastal Waters Forecast
National Weather Service Medford, OR
850 AM PDT Fri Oct 20 2017

Coastal waters from Florence Oregon to Point St. George California
and westward 60 nm.

PZZ300-202200-
850 AM PDT Fri Oct 20 2017

.SYNOPSIS FOR THE SOUTHERN OREGON COASTAL WATERS...Heavy long
period northwest swell will persist through this afternoon,
creating very high and steep seas along with dangerous surf and
bar conditions. The heavy swell will subside to moderate tonight,
but another round of south gales will develop at that time as a
warm front moves through the area. This front will also bring
heavy rainfall late tonight into Saturday morning. A thermal
trough will set up along the coast early next week, and this will
bring strong north winds and steep seas south of Cape Blanco
beginning Monday and continuing through Tuesday.
