...THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR THE FOLLOWING RIVERS IN LOUISIANA...
  CALCASIEU RIVER NEAR GLENMORA AFFECTING RAPIDES PARISH
  CALCASIEU RIVER AT OLD TOWN BAY AFFECTING CALCASIEU PARISH

.AN AREA OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD ACROSS
THE AREA TODAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS NEAR ONE INCH HAVE ALREADY FALLEN
IN MANY LOCATIONS WITH ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES
POSSIBLE THROUGH TONIGHT ALONG WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. THESE
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL RESULT IN RISES ALONG AREA RIVERS...WITH
SIGNIFICANT RISES AND POSSIBLE FLOODING IN AREAS WHERE THE HEAVIEST
RAINFALL OCCURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR FLOODING OF LOW
LYING AREAS AND ALONG RIVERS AND STREAMS. IF YOU ARE IN THE WATCH
AREA REMAIN ALERT TO POSSIBLE FLOODING OR IF A WARNING IS ISSUED.

DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED AREAS OR ATTEMPT TO CROSS ROADWAYS COVERED
BY HIGH WATER. YOU MAY CHECK THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE FOR THE LATEST

* AT  9:30 AM FRIDAY THE STAGE WAS 5.4 FEET.
* MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 12.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...FLOOD STAGE MAY BE REACHED BY SUNDAY EVENING.
* IMPACT...AT STAGES NEAR 12.0 FEET...WHEN THE RIVER IS RISING AND
  THE GAUGE READING IS FORECAST TO REACH 12 FEET OR HIGHER. ROADS
  UPSTREAM FROM GLENMORA, INCLUDING STROTHERS CROSSING ROAD NEAR THE
  COMMUNITY OF CALCASIEU AND PRICE CROSSING ROAD NEAR HINESTON HAVE
  WATER ON THEM AND ARE SUBJECT TO BEING CLOSED. ALSO, FLOODING OF
  FORESTED AREAS NEAR THE RIVER WILL OCCUR.
