...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN ROGER MILLS...SOUTHWESTERN CUSTER...NORTHWESTERN WASHITA
AND EASTERN BECKHAM COUNTIES...

AT 456 PM CDT...THE PUBLIC REPORTED FLASH FLOODING OCCURRING IN
DOWNTOWN ELK CITY. UP TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY
FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ELK CITY AND CARTER.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
