THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHEYENNE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN BANNER COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF NEBRASKA...
  SOUTHEASTERN SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF NEBRASKA...
  WEST CENTRAL MORRILL COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF NEBRASKA...

* UNTIL 1030 PM MDT

* AT 417 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATE 2 TO 3 INCHES OF
  RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. 1 TO 2 MORE INCHES OF
  RAIN ARE EXPECTED BY 5 PM MDT THIS EVENING.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
  OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  CHIMNEY ROCK STATE PARK AND SOUTH BAYARD JUNCTION.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE
BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
CREEKS.
