FLOOD STATEMENT

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Carolina...

  Congaree River At Carolina Eastman affecting Calhoun...Lexington and
  Richland Counties

  North Fork Edisto River At Orangeburg affecting Orangeburg County

.River levels on the Congaree and North Fork Edisto Rivers remain above flood
stage. With no significant rainfall in the forecast...river levels will slowly
begin to fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio...
local media or the internet for further statements and updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning extended for
  The Congaree River At Carolina Eastman.
* until Sunday evening...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10 AM Saturday the stage was 115.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 115.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...The river will reach 115.8 feet by early this afternoon
 and may fall below flood stage this evening.
* At 115.0 feet...Flooding occurs in low lying areas of the Carolina
  Eastman Facility and at the Congaree National Park.

The Flood Warning extended for
  The North Fork Edisto River At Orangeburg.
* until Tuesday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10 AM Saturday the stage was 8.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.3 feet by early
  this afternoon. The river may fall below flood stage by
  Monday afternoon.
* At 8.0 feet...Some minor flooding occurs along the boardwalk at
  Edisto Gardens. Downstream from the Highway 301 bridge, some roads
  off Chiquita street near the river begin to flood.
