FLOOD WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN MN
855 AM CST MON FEB 20 2017

...The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin...

  Eau Claire River near Fall Creek affecting Chippewa and Eau Claire
  Counties
  Chippewa River at Durand affecting Buffalo and Pepin Counties


.Runoff from snowmelt and forecast rainfall onto frozen ground will lead to rises on the Chippewa & Eau Claire Rivers. Heavier than forecasted rainfall could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this developing situation and issue followup statements as conditions or forecasts change.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don`t Drown.

  The Eau Claire River NEAR Fall Creek.
* from Tuesday evening to Thursday afternoon.
* For Fall Creek, no observed stage value is available.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 13.5
  feet Wednesday early afternoon.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Roads near the river begin to flood.

* Flood Warning for
  The Chippewa River at Durand.
* from Wednesday afternoon until further notice.
* At  7:45 AM Monday the stage was 5.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Wednesday afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 15.5 feet by Friday early afternoon.
* Impact...At 16.5 feet...Highway 10 on the north approach to the
  bridge across the Chippewa River may flood.
