FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
355 AM EDT MON OCT 20 2014

...DRY WEATHER TODAY FOLLOWED BY AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF RAIN...

.DISCUSSION...
TODAY WILL BE THE ONLY DRY DAY OF THE WEEK WITH HIGH PRESSURE
MOVING ACROSS THE AREA. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP OVER
THE OHIO VALLEY TONIGHT AND MOVE TOWARD LONG ISLAND BY WEDNESDAY.
THIS FEATURE WILL THEN PERSIST RIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY WITH VERY
LITTLE MOVEMENT. AS A RESULT...LOOKING AT PRECIPITATION CHANCES TO
INCREASE BEGINNING TONIGHT WITH RAIN BECOMING FAIRLY WIDESPREAD
TUESDAY AND CONTINUING RIGHT INTO FRIDAY. AT THIS TIME LOOKING AT
TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS BY THE END OF THE WEEK BEING IN THE 1 TO 3
INCH RANGE. WITH ALL THE CLOUDS AND PRECIPITATION...RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE HIGH THROUGH THE WHOLE WEEK WITH NO FIRE
WEATHER CONCERNS EXPECTED AT THIS POINT.
