FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
315 PM EDT MON MAY 30 2016

.DISCUSSION...THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM BONNIE WERE CENTERED
OVER THE INLAND NORTH COAST OF SC EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THIS REMNANT
LOW PRESSURE AREA IS EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY LIFT NORTHEAST AWAY FROM
THE FORECAST AREA THROUGH TUESDAY...LEAVING A SOMEWHAT UNSETTLED
PATTERN BEHIND IT. SCATTERED SHOWER AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY WILL MAINLY FAVOR THE EASTERN HALF OF THE FORECAST AREA.

A WEAKENING PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL SUPPORT POOR DISPERSION LATER
THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. FOG IS POSSIBLE LATE
TONIGHT/EARLY TUESDAY MORNING DEPENDING ON THE EXTENT OF LINGERING
CLOUD COVER.

SURFACE WINDS TUESDAY WILL BE FROM THE NORTH AROUND 5 MPH AFTER
DAYBREAK...WITH HIGHEST WINDS ACROSS THE NORTHEASTERN MIDLANDS.
TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE NORTH AT 5 TO 10 MPH FOR THE AFTERNOON.
MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM AROUND 45 PERCENT
WEST TO 55 PERCENT EAST.
