Fire Weather Forecast FOR southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
228 PM PDT Sun Jun 25 2017

...Red flag warning in effect for abundant lightning on dry fuels
for fire zones 280...281...620...621...622...623...624...625...

.DISCUSSION...Isolated thunderstorms have already formed over the
mountains and will increase in coverage through the evening as a
shortwave moves through. Thunderstorm potential continues
overnight, then increases again Monday as the main upper trough
moves in. The focus for lightning is over the mountains, but much
of the area inland from the coast will see at least some storms
from now through Monday evening. In addition, gusty west winds
will develop Monday as the system moves through. Relatively cooler
and quieter weather is expected Tuesday through Thursday.
