FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
525 AM EDT Sun Aug 20 2017

...Warmer and breezy ahead of an advancing cold front...

.DISCUSSION: Warm, humid, and breezy conditions are expected to
develop ahead of a cold front that will push southeast across
Upper Michigan later today. Temperatures will be running 10 to 15
degrees above normal, with a few locations possibly reaching the
90 degree mark. As the front moves across Upper Michigan,
thunderstorms are expected to develop across the west this
afternoon, and then push across central and eastern portions of
the area through the evening and overnight hours. This front will
stall out just south of Upper Michigan by Monday morning and will
gradually lift back northward bringing back chances for showers
and thunderstorms Monday night into Tuesday, primarily across the
central and east. Any lingering shower and thunderstorm activity
on Tuesday will push southeast of the area as high pressure takes
over and we experience a cool down through the end of the week.
