Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Middle Tennessee
National Weather Service Nashville TN
528 AM CST Wed Feb 21 2018

.DISCUSSION...
Several rainy periods are forecast for Middle Tennessee over the next
four to five days. Rainfall totals through Sunday morning are
forecast to be between 3 and 5 inches over much of the western half
of Middle Tennessee, with some amounts above 6 inches possible over
the northwest. Amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the east
and extreme south.

Our weather will start to dry out early next week, with any rain that
falls during the Sunday through Tuesday period expected to be light.

Southerly winds will turn briefly to the north and northeast today
and tonight, behind a cold front, but will become south to
southeasterly over the entire area by late Thursday as a warm front
moves northward.

Gusty southerly flow is forecast for Friday and Saturday, becoming
west to northwest on Sunday, then north to northeast on Monday, and
finally becoming east to southeast Tuesday and Wednesday.
