Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
300 PM PDT Mon May 22 2017

...SUMMER-LIKE TEMPERATURES ON TUESDAY...
...BREEZY TO WINDY ON WEDNESDAY...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will bring another day of unseasonably
warm and dry conditions on Tuesday. Winds through Tuesday morning
will be light and terrain-driven but will increase Tuesday
afternoon and evening ahead of an approaching cold front. The dry
cold front will cause eye-level winds to increase to 20-30 mph in
many areas...locally stronger. It will also be much cooler with
higher RHs on Wednesday. This will be followed by an upper level
system on Thursday that will bring scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms along the WA Cascades and our eastern zones with the
possibility of cumulus buildups elsewhere.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
