FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NW OREGON AND SW WASHINGTON
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORTLAND OR
837 AM PDT FRI SEP 4 2015

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE OVER
THE REGION TODAY...BRINGING MORE SHOWERS AND POTENTIALLY SOME
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. DRIER WEATHER IS EXPECTED SATURDAY...BUT
ANOTHER DISTURBANCE TO BRING MORE SHOWERS ON SUNDAY TO SW
WASHINGTON AND FAR NW OREGON. WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER IS ON TOP
FOR NEXT WEEK.

.DISCUSSION...COOL AND SHOWERY WEATHER CONTINUES AGAIN TODAY AS
AN UPPER LEVEL HIGH MOVES DIRECTLY OVER SW WASHINGTON AND NW
OREGON. EXPECT SHOWERS TO BE MAINLY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN
TODAY. THERE IS ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. DRIER WEATHER WILL DEVELOP
ON SATURDAY AS THE UPPER LOW SLIDES EAST AND A SHORTWAVE UPPER
LEVEL RIDGE MOVES THROUGH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. HOWEVER MORE
SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ON SUNDAY...MAINLY IN NORTHERN PORTIONS OF
THE FORECAST AREA...AS ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES
THROUGH. THEN EXPECT WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER FOR MUCH OF NEXT
WEEK AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE NORTHEAST
PACIFIC BUILDS INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. PYLE
