FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WESTERN WASHINGTON
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SEATTLE WA
825 AM PDT TUE SEP 1 2015

CURRENT WARNINGS/WATCHES...NONE.

.DISCUSSION...A SLOW MOVING FRONT WILL REACH THE CASCADES LATE
THIS MORNING AND THEN STALL. THIS COMBINED WITH MOISTURE
CIRCULATING AROUND THE MAIN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL
RESULT IN A CONTINUED CHANCE FOR SHOWERS TODAY AND INTO TONIGHT. ANOTHER
DISTURBANCE IS EXPECTED TO PASS THROUGH FOR WEDNESDAY BRINGING
ANOTHER ROUND OF WIDESPREAD RAIN. IN ADDITION...SNOW LEVELS WILL
DESCEND TO AROUND 5000 TO 6000 FT...WHICH MAY BRING SNOWFALL TO
ELEVATIONS ABOVE 6000 FT. THE MAIN TROUGH RESPONSIBLE FOR THE
CURRENT COOL AND WET WEATHER LOOKS TO SLOWLY MOVE EASTWARD FOR
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...BUT LINGERING MOISTURE WILL STILL KEEP THE
CHANCE FOR RAIN IN THE EXTENDED FORECAST. SHORTWAVE RIDGING IS
EXPECTED FOR THE WEEKEND...DRYING CONDITIONS SOME WITH
TEMPERATURES REMAINING MILD.

FORECAST FOR 20 FOOT WIND SPEED (VALLEYS AND RIDGE TOPS) ARE 10
 MINUTE AVERAGES REFLECTING RAWS WINDS.
