FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UTAH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
318 PM MDT FRI AUG 26 2016

...DRYING TREND BEGINS TOMORROW...

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGH TONIGHT
MAINLY ACROSS SOUTHERN...CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST UTAH. DRIER AIR
WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTH TOMORROW
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.

.DISCUSSION...A RELATIVELY MOIST AIRMASS REMAINS OVER MUCH OF THE
DISTRICT THIS AFTERNOON AS THE LAST PIECE OF A WEAK TROUGH MOVES
THROUGH. AS A RESULT...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
DEVELOPING OVER ALL BUT THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE AREA. THE
TROUGH WILL EXIT TOMORROW...SHIFTING THE FLOW ALOFT TO A MORE
WEST TO NORTHWEST DIRECTION TOMORROW MORNING. THIS WILL ALLOW
DRIER AIR TO SLOWLY MOVE BACK IN FROM THE NORTH OVER THE WEEKEND
AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. MOISTURE MAY RETURN TO THE AREA BY THE
MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

***THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY STRONG GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS***
***ALL WINDS ARE 20 FOOT...10-MINUTE AVERAGES***
