...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

WARMER TEMPERATURES UNDER A WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT CAN BE EXPECTED
TODAY. AN APPROACHING STORM WILL BRING INCREASING WINDS TO THE AREA
FRIDAY WHILE DRY AND WARM CONDITIONS PERSIST. HUMIDITY WILL BE ON
THE INCREASE AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS HOWEVER. MOST OF THE AREA WILL
HAVE A CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY AS THE
STORM MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. THE BEST CHANCE OF SIGNIFICANT
PRECIPITATION WILL BE OVER THE SIERRA AND LINCOLN AND NORTHERN
MOHAVE COUNTIES. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE AT HIGHER
ELEVATIONS. BUILDING HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING DRY AND WARMER
CONDITIONS SUNDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

WEAK HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING A FAIR DAY TODAY. A DEEP LOW
PRESSURE TROUGH WILL BRING MUCH COOLER WEATHER AND A RAPIDLY
DEEPENING MARINE LAYER FRIDAY. IT WILL ALSO BRING STRONG WINDS TO
THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS...AND SCATTERED SHOWERS FRIDAY EVENING
THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. DRY WEATHER WILL FOLLOW NEXT WEEK AS HIGH
PRESSURE REBUILDS. OFFSHORE FLOW TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL PRODUCE
DRY AND MUCH WARMER WEATHER.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

LOW AFTERNOON HUMIDITIES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE REGION BOTH TODAY
AND AGAIN ON FRIDAY. WINDS WILL BE RELATIVELY LIGHT TODAY...BUT
WILL INCREASE FRIDAY AS A TROUGH APPROACHES THE REGION. CRITICAL
THRESHOLDS MAY BE REALIZED ACROSS THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER
VALLEY...WITH A FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINING IN EFFECT FOR FRIDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
