.DISCUSSION...

TODAY WILL SEE A RETURN OF BREEZY CONDITIONS BY AFTERNOON ALONG WITH
LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES OF 25 TO 35 PERCENT. THIS WILL RESULT IN
A HIGH FIRE DANGER FOR AGRICULTURAL FIELD FIRES...ESPECIALLY ALONG
AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 30. SHOULD A FIRE START UNDER THESE CONDITIONS IT
COULD SPREAD RAPIDLY. OTHERWISE...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
WILL BRING SPOTTY LIGHT SHOWERS TO PORTIONS OF THE REGION TONIGHT...WITH
ANY RAINFALL VERY LIGHT. MAINLY DRY AND COOL CONDITIONS ARE THEN EXPECTED
THE REST OF THE WEEK.

THE GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER INDEX -GFDI- DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR
PRECIPITATION THAT OCCURS OR ANY SNOW ON THE GROUND. PLEASE
MAKE APPROPRIATE ADJUSTMENTS.
