THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL SPREAD OVER MUCH OF TEXAS AS AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE AND AREA OF LOW PRESSURE APPROACH FROM THE
EAST. THIS WILL SUPPORT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TODAY.
SOME STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH
RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES AN HOUR. LOCALIZED FLOODING MAY BE
POSSIBLE WITH SEVERAL STRONG STORMS MOVING OVER THE SAME AREA OR
IN URBAN AREAS WHERE THERE IS POOR DRAINAGE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH LABOR DAY WEEKEND.
THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND LIGHTNING.
STORMS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MAY HAVE A LITTLE HIGHER THREAT OF
HEAVY DOWNPOURS DUE TO SLOW STORM MOVEMENT. BY THE WEEKEND THE
STORMS SHOULD MOVE FASTER AND LESSEN THE THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN
SLIGHTLY. STREET FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

STRONG EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TODAY WITH A BROAD
AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OFFSHORE AREAS. SMALL CRAFT SHOULD
EXERCISE CAUTION TODAY BUT CONDITIONS COULD DETERIORATE LATER
TODAY WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF WINDS INCREASING ABOVE 20 KNOTS WITH
SEAS GREATER THAN 7 FEET PROMPTING SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES.
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL GENERATE GUSTY WINDS AND BRIEFLY HIGHER
SEAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

ROUGH CONDITIONS MAY CONTINUE DEPENDING ON EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS
INTO THE WEEKEND. THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN THE GULF WILL LIKELY
KEEP WINDS AND SEAS ELEVATED.
