  WATERS FROM SURF CITY TO CAPE FEAR NC FROM 20 TO 40 NM...

AT 1245 AM EST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS... CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS. THESE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED NEAR BALD HEAD ISLAND...MOVING NORTHEAST
AT 35 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

YOUR BEST COURSE OF ACTION DURING THUNDERSTORMS IS TO SEEK SAFE
HARBOR. HOWEVER IF YOU ARE CAUGHT ON THE OPEN WATER...STAY BELOW DECK
IF POSSIBLE AND STAY AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL OBJECTS UNTIL THIS
