...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER THE ATLANTIC OFFSHORE WATERS...

AT 11:16 PM AST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL...OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING...SUDDEN
WATERSPOUTS AND WINDS AROUND 20-30 KNOTS OVER THE ATLANTIC
OFFSHORE WATERS. ONE OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED OFF TO THE
NORTH OF SAN JUAN. ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED WELL NORTH OF
ST THOMAS AND ST JOHN. BOTH THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING FREQUENT
LIGHTNING. IN ADDITION...STRONG SHOWERS AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE CARIBBEAN OFFSHORE
WATERS AND PASSAGES DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.
