.STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO 20 TO 30 KTS WITH GUSTS
35 TO 40 KTS. WAVES WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD OVERNIGHT. WAVES WILL BE
A BIT LOWER ALONG THE NORTH SHORE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DULUTH HAS ISSUED A GALE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT FRIDAY. A SMALL CRAFT
ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 4 PM CDT FRIDAY. THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS
NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 KNOTS WITH GALES OF 35 TO 40
  KNOTS WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT. THE WIND WILL VEER TO MORE NORTH
  OVERNIGHT. THE WIND WILL DIMINISH LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY
  MORNING.

* WAVES/SEAS...EXPECT WAVES FROM 4 TO 8 FEET TONIGHT...HIGHEST
  ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THIS GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 35 TO 40 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR
TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 21 TO 33 KNOTS
ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS WAVE CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT.
INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER
VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
