Waters from San Mateo point to the Mexican Border Extending 30 to
60 nm out including San Clemente Island-

...GALE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Gale
Watch...which is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday
evening.

* Winds...Northwest 15 to 20 kt with gusts to 30 kt Friday
  afternoon, becoming northwest 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt
  Friday evening through early Saturday morning. Winds gradually
  weakening late Saturday morning into Saturday evening.

* Waves/Seas...Combined seas increasing to 10 feet near San
  Clemente Island Thursday night, then widespread 9 to 13 feet
  Friday evening before lowering to 6 to 10 feet Saturday
  afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Watch is issued when the risk of gale force winds of 34 to
47 knots has significantly increased...but the specific timing
and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide
additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider
altering their plans.
