            ...AN ACTIVE WEATHER DAY IN NORTHERN ARIZONA...

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVED THROUGH PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ARIZONA
DURING TUESDAY. REPORTS OF WIND DAMAGE...HEAVY RAIN...FLASH
FLOODING CAME FROM A NUMBER OF LOCALITIES.

10:00 TO 10:15 AM...  TREES 1-2 FT IN DIAMETER BLOWN DOWN IN THE
          PRESCOTT VALLEY AREA. WIND GUST OF 52 MPH MEASURED JUST
          NORTH OF PRESCOTT VALLEY AND 47 MPH AT LOVE AIRFIELD. IN
          WILLIAMSON VALLEY RAINFALL OF 1.14 INCHES WAS MEASURED.

12:00 TO 12:10 PM...  THUNDERSTORM MOVED RIGHT THROUGH THE MIDDLE
          OF COTTONWOOD. TREES BLOWN DOWN IN A NUMBER OF PLACES...ONE
          FELL ON THE ROOF OF A GAS STATION ON HIGHWAY 89A. POWER LINES
          WERE ALSO CUT BY STRONG WINDS. A WEATHER SPOTTER MEASURED A
          WIND GUST OF 52 MPH AND .60 INCH RAINFALL. AT TUZIGOOT
          NATIONAL MONUMENT THERE WAS SMALL HAIL.

 4:00 TO 4:30 PM...   FLASH FLOODING ALONG A SECTION OF HIGHWAY 160...
          BETWEEN MILEPOSTS 361 AND 379...NEAR TONALEA. FLASH
          FLOODING WAS ALSO REPORTED ALONG INDIAN ROUTE 59 AT
          MILEPOSTS 22 AND 33...IN THE ROUGH ROCK AREA. EAST OF
          KAYENTA ON HIGHWAY 160 MOTORISTS REPORTED WATER ON THE ROAD
          IN MANY PLACES.
