...Frost and Freeze Warnings Suspended for the season...

Temperatures across inland areas of the region this morning dropped
below freezing for 2 or more hours. With this first widespread
freeze of the fall/winter season, freeze warnings for the NWS
Tallahassee area of responsibility will be suspended until March
15th. Frost advisories have also been suspended until March 15th.

Hard freeze watches and warnings will continue to be issued
throughout the cool weather season. The hard freeze warning
criteria for the NWS Tallahassee area of responsibility is a
minimum temperature of 20 degrees or colder. Temperatures of 20
degrees or colder are typically the level where there are greater
impacts from sustained cold temperatures to pipes and other
infrastructure.

The table below relates the average first date of a hard freeze for
selected locations across the Tallahassee area of responsibility
and the climatological probability of a hard freeze occurring each
winter season.
