...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS ALL OF THE TEXAS
AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...

* AFFECTED AREA...ALL OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES

* 20 FOOT WINDS...SOUTH WINDS 5 TO 15 MPH EARLY THEN SHIFTING TO THE
  NORTH AND NORTHEAST FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF A COLD FRONT BETWEEN
  0700 HOURS AND 1000 HOURS THIS MORNING. WIND SPEEDS WILL INCREASE
  TO AROUND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 30 TO 35 MPH. AFTER 1900
  HOURS...THE NORTHEAST TO EAST WINDS WILL DIMINISH TO 5 TO 15 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE IN THE
  15 TO 20 PERCENT RANGE.

* TIMING...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BEGIN AROUND 1300
  HOURS THIS AFTERNOON AND ARE EXPECTED TO END AROUND 1900 HOURS
  THIS EVENING.

OUTDOOR BURNING AND ACTIVITIES THAT CAUSE OPEN SPARKS OR FLAMES
ARE DISCOURAGED. FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT
WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
LARGE GRASS FIRES.
