...ELEVATED THREAT OF ERRATIC FIRE BEHAVIOR INLAND TODAY...

DRY AIR REMAINS IN PLACE ACROSS DEEP SOUTH TEXAS AND THE RIO
GRANDE VALLEY TODAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE IN THE LOWER
TO MID 80S ACROSS MOST OF THE CWA...WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES DIPPING INTO THE 30 PERCENT DECILE FOR THE INLAND COUNTIES.

SIMULTANEOUSLY...LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTH AND WEST TEXAS
WILL INTERACT WITH HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE WESTERN GULF OF
MEXICO...RESULTING IN STRONGER SURFACE WINDS LATER THIS MORNING
THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON. SOUTH SOUTHEAST WINDS AT 20 FEET WILL BE
IN THE 15 TO 20 MPH RANGE FOR THE INLAND COUNTIES THIS AFTERNOON.

ALL OF THESE CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE WITH CURED FUELS TO CREATE
AN ELEVATED THREAT OF ERRATIC FIRE BEHAVIOR AND AN INCREASED
POTENTIAL FOR WILDFIRE GROWTH AND SPREAD FOR THE INLAND COUNTIES
TODAY.
