.THE COMBINATION OF STRONG NORTHWESTERLY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY WILL LEAD TO CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS
AFTERNOON IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA. WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH ARE
EXPECTED AND ANY FIRES WHICH MAY DEVELOP HAVE A HIGH POTENTIAL TO
SPREAD RAPIDLY AND MAY BE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL.

The National Weather Service in North Platte has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 5 PM
MST this afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 210.

* WIND...Northwest 25 to 35 MPH gusts to 45 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
