Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
444 AM EDT Sun Apr 23 2017

High pressure will build across the northeast today and then move
off the southern New England coast tonight into Monday. A low
pressure system will move off of the southeastern coast Monday and
track north along the eastern seaboard into the midweek period.

Today will be mostly sunny with a light southerly flow.
Temperatures will peak into the mid 60s inland and in the lower
60s along the coast. Along the immediate coast and across the twin
forks, high temperatures may only reach the upper 50s as winds
come off the still cool ocean waters.

Clouds increase tonight as the high shifts east and low pressure
moves into the southeastern states. Lows will range in the 40S. A
few normally cooler locations may see temperatures fall into the
upper 30S with light winds.

Monday will be cloudy and light rain will be developing, mainly
along the coast, by afternoon. Inland will remain dry until Monday
night. Highs Monday will be in the upper 50S to lower 60S along
the coast with mid to upper 60S inland.
