Strong northerly winds will set up along the lee side of the
Rockies today. While sustained wind speeds are only expected to
be in the 20 to 30 mph range, wind gusts could be as high as 50
mph. This will be mainly where Texas and Oklahoma boarder with New
Mexico, or Western Dallam, Hartley, and Cimarron counties. Those
that plan on being outdoors or are traveling across the mentioned
areas should be prepared for potentially strong wind gusts, and
wind chills to be in the 30s to lower 40s.
