...Snow with gusty winds will affect northeastern Piscataquis...
Aroostook and north central Penobscot Counties...

An area of heavy snow was moving across the region with the heaviest
activity in Northwest and Northeast Aroostook County.

Locations impacted include...
Presque Isle, Caribou, Houlton, Fort Kent, Madawaska, Fort Fairfield,
Limestone, Van Buren, Eagle Lake, Allagash, Clayton Lake, Saint
Pamphile, Portage, Deboullie Mountain, Mapleton, Washburn, Mars Hill,
Hodgdon, Ashland and Easton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 95 between mile makers 276 and 304.
 US Highway 1 between Orient and Fort Kent.
 State Highway 11 between Knowles Corner and Fort Kent.

  * Winds in excess of 25 mph can be expected with this area of
    heavy a snow.

  * Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half mile in this
    area of heavy snow.

Ice and snow covered roads are possible as the snow melts on the
roads then quickly refreezes.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
