...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY...

SNOW WILL LIKELY SPREAD NORTHEAST ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST
ILLINOIS DURING SATURDAY EVENING AND CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY. THE
SNOW WILL MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO RAIN IN SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS SUNDAY
AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES CLIMB INTO THE MIDDLE 30S. CURRENT
INDICATIONS SUGGEST THE POTENTIAL FOR 4 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IN
AREAS NORTH OF I-70...WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOW BAND FROM I-72 NORTH.
BETWEEN 2 AND 4 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE FROM I-70 SOUTH WITH
MOST OF THIS SNOW EXPECTED TO FALL SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY
MORNING. WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE NEAR 10 MPH OR LESS DURING THIS
TIME PERIOD SO THIS WILL LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW.

IF YOU HAVE TRAVEL PLANS ACROSS THE MIDWEST SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY...CHECK WITH LATER FORECASTS AS ADDITIONAL CHANGES TO THE
TRACK OF THE STORM ARE POSSIBLE...WHICH WILL LEAD TO ADJUSTMENTS
TO SNOW TOTALS AND PRECIPITATION TYPES.
