...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN AND EASTERN
HARRISON COUNTY AND JACKSON COUNTY...

At 1031 AM CST, radar indicated strong thunderstorms with very heavy
rainfall were located along a line extending from near Shoreline
Park to 8 miles southwest of Waveland to 11 miles east of Lake
Catherine. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these storms.
Waterspouts could form offshore and move near the shoreline. If
radar trends indicate the potential for a waterspout to move onto
land, then a tornado warning will be quickly issued.

Locations impacted include...
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, Moss Point, St. Martin,
Escatawpa, Gautier, D`iberville, Wade, Latimer, Big Point, Lyman,
Gulf Hills, Hurley, Vancleave, Gulf Park Estates, Hickory Hills,
Helena and Gulfport Airport.

Torrential rainfall that is occurring with these storms may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
