...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES...PERRY...WAYNE...WESTERN GREENE AND NORTHERN STONE COUNTIES
UNTIL 645 PM CDT...

At 558 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 25 miles west of Waynesboro, to 20 miles west of
Richton, 30 miles west of Janice, and moving southeast at 40 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph, frequent cloud to ground lightning
strikes and very heavy rain will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Waynesboro, Wiggins, Richton, Clara, Beaumont, New Augusta and
McLain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
