...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN QUAY AND EAST
CENTRAL GUADALUPE COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM MDT...

At 743 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles south of Montoya, or 26 miles southwest of Tucumcari, moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Quay
and east central Guadalupe Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
