FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NE KANSAS/NW MISSOURI
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL MO
302 PM CDT SUN JUL 13 2014

.DISCUSSION...

FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS ARE ONCE AGAIN MINIMAL ACROSS THE AREA AS RH
VALUES REMAIN WELL ABOVE CRITICAL THRESHOLDS. WINDS OVER THE NEXT 24
HOURS WILL BE LIGHT BUT SOMEWHAT ERRATIC AS A COUPLE SURFACE
BOUNDARIES MOVE THROUGH THE AREA. EXPECT NORTHERLY WINDS TO
EVENTUALLY COME OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST BY THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...THEN GO
BACK TO NORTHERLY AS ANOTHER BOUNDARY MOVES THROUGH. EVEN WITH THE
ERRATIC WINDS EXPECT WIND SPEED TO REMAIN AT OR BELOW 10 KTS THROUGH
THE ENTIRE 24 HOUR PERIOD.

A PERIOD OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE DAY ON MONDAY WITH
PERHAPS SOME LIGHTNING. EXPECT THIS ACTIVITY TO BE PROGRESSIVE AND
MOVE SOUTH OF THE FORECAST AREA BY MONDAY NIGHT. NO SEVERE WEATHER IS
ANTICIPATED WITH THIS ACTIVITY ON MONDAY. WINDS WILL BECOME MORE
PREVAILING FROM THE NORTH BY MONDAY NIGHT...AND HOLD FROM THE NORTH
THROUGH AT LEAST TUESDAY AND THE EARLY PART OF WED.
