Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
250 PM CDT Sun Mar 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Colder than normal conditions are expected with breezy northwest
winds resulting in elevated fire danger through the afternoon
hours. Clouds building into the region from the north also reside
within the ice creation layer in the atmosphere, so could see a
few flurries through the overnight, but warm ground temperatures
will lead to normal conditions. Above normal temperatures will
return to the region on Tuesday as breezy west winds bring mild
temperatures to the region. Another cold front will move through
the region Wednesday morning leading to temperatures closer to
normal midweek.
