FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NE KANSAS/NW MISSOURI
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL MO
352 PM CST MON JAN 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

SOUTHERLY WINDS PICK UP TONIGHT AROUND 20 TO PERHAPS 30 MPH GUSTS,
AND WILL LAST THROUGH THE DAY ON TUESDAY. WITH THE DRY FUELS
PRESENT ACROSS THE AREA ANY FIRE THAT GETS GOING COULD RACE OUT OF
CONTROL IF NOT TENDED TO VERY CAREFULLY, CONSIDERING THE STRONG
WINDS. RH VALUES WILL REMAIN RELATIVELY HIGH, IN THE 40 TO 50
PERCENT RANGE, WHICH WILL MITIGATE ANY STRONG FIRE WEATHER
CONCERNS. OUTDOOR BURNING IS GENERALLY DISCOURAGED FOR TUESDAY AND
WEDNESDAY, MAINLY AS A RESULT OF THE GUSTY WINDS.
