Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
411 AM CDT Mon Oct 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Strong winds and dry conditions are expected for the next couple
days, especially during the day time hours. Northwest winds will
pick up to around 20 to 30 mph, with occasional gusts approaching
40 mph. Low RH - in the 30 to 40 percent range will combine with
the strong winds to bring some concerning fire weather conditions
both Monday and Tuesday. Fuel conditions and recent rains keeping
soils rather moist are keeping extreme fire weather conditions and
associated Red Flag Warnings at bay, but any fire that ignites
will have favorable conditions for rapid spread.
