THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL HAS
ISSUED AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM
CDT TUESDAY. THE HEAT ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TEMPERATURE...OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL BOTTOM OUT IN THE MIDDLE
  70S. TUESDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL TOP OUT IN THE MIDDLE 90S
  WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 103 AND 107.

* IMPACTS...OPPRESSIVE HEAT WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASED RISK OF
  HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS...IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT
STROKE. WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN

  EXCEPT IN THE URBAN CORRIDOR WHERE IT MAY NOT DROP BELOW 80
  DEGREES. TUESDAY AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL TOP OUT IN THE MIDDLE
  TO UPPER 90S WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES RANGING FROM 104 TO 110.

* IMPACTS...OPPRESSIVE HEAT WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASED RISK OF
