Subject:Adjustment To Services Provided To The Kansas City/
Pleasant Hill Hydrologic Service Area

On October 1, 2016 NOAA`s National Weather Service /NWS/ office
serving the Kansas City/Pleasant Hill Missouri area will:

1) End forecast and warning service at one location and replace
   it with a new site a short distance downstream.

2) Provide river forecast and warning services at two additional
   new locations.

...Blue River in the vicinity of Blue Parkway at Kansas City, MO...

The forecast point location for the Blue River at Blue Parkway in
Kansas City, Missouri will be discontinued on October 1, 2016. The
NWS location identifier /NWSLI/ for this site is KBPM7.

A new forecast point location begins on October 1, 2016. This site
is located at Colorado Avenue which is about a quarter mile
downstream from the retired KBPM7 site. The /NWSLI/ for the new
Colorado Avenue site BVCM7. The flood stage for this location is
56.0 feet.

...Indian Creek in the vicinity of Stateline Road...

This new forecast point is on Indian Creek at Stateline Road which
is the border between Leawood, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri.
The /NWSLI/ for the new Indian Creek site is ICLK1. The flood stage
for this location is 20.0 feet.

...Tomahawk Creek in the vicinity of Roe Avenue...

This new forecast point is on Tomahawk Creek at Roe Avenue. Impacts
associated with this forecast point affect the cities of Overland
Park and Leawood, Kansas. The /NWSLI/ for the new Tomahawk Creek
site is TCRK1. The flood stage for this location is 13.0 feet.

The Kansas City/Pleasant Hill office of the /NWS/ will implement
Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service /AHPS/ for the above three
new forecast points by October 1, 2016. The Kansas City/Pleasant Hill
AHPS website is located at
