PRECIPITATION CHARACTERIZED KANSAS CITY WEATHER IN MARCH...

The average temperature at the Kansas City International Airport was
50.5 degrees, which was 6.3 degrees above normal. The average high
temperature was 62.0 degrees, or 6.9 degrees above normal. The
average low temperature was 39.0 degrees which was 5.6 degrees above
normal. The highest temperature for the month was 78 degrees on the
23rd. The lowest temperature was 21 degrees on the 2nd. This March
was the 12th warmest on the 128-year record for Kansas City.

Precipitation came in at 2.72 inches for the month, or 0.35 inches
above normal. The greatest total in a 24 hour period was 1.12 inches
on the 26th to the 27th. This March was tied for the 54th wettest
