The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Blanco County in south central Texas...

* Until 1130 PM CDT.

* At 955 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding on Miller
  Creek Loop. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain fell earlier this
  evening. Flooding impacts will continue.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Blanco, Johnson City, Flugrath and Pedernales Falls State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
