.DISCUSSION...

A Red Flag Warning is in effect this morning through the early evening
for Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties in Colorado as well as Wallace,
Logan, Greeley, Sherman, and Wichita counties in Kansas. There is also a
possibility of blowing dust in the morning through early afternoon
which could hamper response efforts due to reduced visibility.

Near critical and critical fire weather conditions are anticipated
across the entire Tri-State area during the late morning to early
evening hours Tuesday. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for
Cheyenne County, Colorado, as well as Wallace, Logan, Greeley, and
Wichita counties in Kansas. Near critical fire weather conditions
are forecast for locations south of Interstate 70 Wednesday.
